On a hot and sunny Saturday, twelve of our Year 9 students arrived at school bright and early to prepare for their one-day Bronze Duke of Edinburgh walk.
After learning how to pack their rucksacks and marking their routes on to a map, we drove to our starting point. The two groups learnt how to navigate around a course of nearly 14km whilst carrying their bags. It was hot and tiring but they all worked really hard and were able to decide in which direction they should be walking.
Well done everyone, you are now ready for your two-day practice and overnight camp in September.
