Welcome home to our senior and Sixth Form African explorers who arrived safely back at school on Friday (1st August) after their exciting 16-day volunteering expedition with Mozvolunteers.

The girls were exhausted after the long journey but excited to be able to tell their friends and family about their experiences. Sophie said, “It’s been amazing. I think the safari  was probably the best bit for me – or the most exciting, anyway! We saw elephants, giraffes, buffalo, hippo and lots of other animals.”

Tori added that working with the children in the village school in Mhwaque in the Underberg region had also been very memorable. “The children got quite attached to us and it was really hard to say goodbye”, she said.

The girls said they were looking forward to sleeping in their own beds again after bunk beds and several changes of location over their trip.
