In games, the Prep pupils and Years 7-9 have been taking part in hockey, while Years 10-11 have focused on netball this term.
A notable hockey victory was the Year 7 team beating Taverham High School 5-1, with Harriet scoring a hat-trick (in her first hockey game!) and Rebekah scoring two. Other hockey highlights included the U14 team entering their first ever county tournament and the U13 team drawing 1-1 with Taverham High School, with Hannah scoring the goal.
In netball the girls have been working exceptionally hard to improve their GCSE practical grades and the U15 team recorded their first win, beating the Hewett School 13-11. A special mention to Lottie, Tami, Sienna and Olivia who have been regularly attending Wednesday morning fitness in support of their GCSE PE course. All GCSE PE students are welcome.
Our badminton teams have shown great potential with the U12 and U16 team playing eighteen games in total and winning all eighteen games.
Well done to all Year 5/6 gymnastics pupils who performed their final group routines this week. All involved have been working exceptionally hard and have been tackling movement skills, balances and jumps on the wall bars, ropes, horse, box and trampette apparatus.
In our final lesson Warwick was crowned the king of the ‘V sit challenge’, with Ashlyn, Anna, Cristina, Stella and Mia awarded queen status – excellent body tension! Noted improvements came from Harriet, James, Georgia and Amelia. A special mention is due to Warwick who has been working outside school on his gymnastic knowledge and talent and led the whole class warm up.
