Our duck is a winner!

Way back in the summer term, Miss Turner’s after school craft club members painted and decorated the sparkly blue duck Mr Peace and Tafara are showing off in the picture below.

The duck was provided by Break charity for a schools’ competition to raise awareness of the work they do to help young people. Our duck was later displayed with entries from other Norfolk schools at Break’s popular annual duck race in Norwich, where members of the public were invited to vote for their favourite – and ours won!

Last Thursday in assembly, Alex Atkinson from Arnolds Keys, who sponsored the competition, together with Sarah Bunn from Break, presented the children who participated with certificates, a large hamper of art and craft items and a cheque for £50, which we will spend on craft materials.

Pictures of the children receiving their certificates are here.
