Election results for the Norfolk constituencies of the UK Youth Parliament were announced last night at County Hall – and Charlotte Snell, in Year 10, was amongst the winning candidates. She explains: “There are three boys and six girls representing Norfolk. Everybody who won was very happy! I won with just over 1100 votes and my opponent received just over 1000 votes so it was very close in my constituency of Norwich North!” Charlotte is looking forward to representing her constituency on the UK Youth Parliament, which exists to give young people a voice on the issues important to them. You can find more information on the Norfolk County Council website and on the Norfolk Youth Parliament Facebook page.
The photo below shows Charlotte in a school assembly at HOHS recently, explaining the role of the Youth Parliament and why she wanted to stand for election.
