Shakespeares-Greatest-Bits

The Bard of Avon is believed to have died 400 years ago on his birthday, April 23, in his native Stratford-upon-Avon – and this landmark anniversary is being celebrated everywhere.  Not least in Norwich’s own Elizabethan-style Maddermarket Theatre, which is running a “Shakespeare 400 mini-festival” programme.

HOHS Director of Drama Jenny Richards is performing in one of the festival productions – this Sunday, 24th April at 7.30pm. She will be taking the roles of Lady McDuff from Macbeth and Maria from Twelfth Night in this romp through the best sonnets and speeches from the world’s greatest wordsmith.
