Getting down to Business with Year 6

Last term, Year 6 took part in an enterprise and financial capability project as part of their enrichment lessons. Every team included a team leader, an operations manager, a finance manager and a marketing manager, each with a specific responsibility.

All the teams were given £10 to buy supplies for their stalls and an additional £4 float was lent to each team to use on the day. After the event, the £14 investment was paid back to the school and the profit (a total of just over £30) was given to charity.

Teams settled for three types of stalls: crafts, games and snacks. The stalls were set up to trade on Friday 1st July at lunchtime. All team members worked superbly well together throughout the lunch period and all three stalls were successful and attracted plenty of customers.
