Alexandra Calton has drawn inspiration from the unlikely source of rusty metal for her A Level art coursework. Sketchbook extracts reveal her experimentation with making prints from rusty objects using vinegar. Her final piece of railway tracks incorporates these rust prints to create a highly atmospheric piece.
Shekinah Oku’s chosen theme was ‘Weather and Weathering’. Sheky has produced a Gothic-inspired interpretation of the crumbling and aged facades of Norwich cathedral. Her beautiful mixed media drawings are done on paper that she made herself.
