Year 13 travel & tourism students Anna and Olivia researched and organised a very professional guided tour of Norwich for the rest of the Sixth Form earlier this month as part of their A Level project work. The trip took in a host of local and cultural sights and included an informative commentary as they bussed around the city.
The girls chose 18 different sights for two individual tours, each with its own informative leaflet. Original Norwich featured such uniquely Norwich gems as Colman’s mustard, Caley’s chocolate, the Theatre Royal and the historic market; while Cultural Norwich focused on landmarks including the cathedral, castle, Forum and football club! The tours included a stop at the top of Mousehold to look down on to the city and identify the places they had driven past.
The group then enjoyed a good lunch at Pizza Express as a start to an afternoon of activities designed to help Years 12 and 13 to get to know each other better – again, organised completely by the travel & tourism students and including a fun trip to Quasar.
Anna and Olivia worked very hard organising, researching and presenting this day and will be writing about it for their A level portfolio units.
