On Tuesday, Year 12 maths students took part in the United Kingdom Senior Mathematical Challenge, organised by the UKMT and supported by the actuarial profession. The challenge consists of 25 questions to be solved in 90 minutes, with no calculators or rulers allowed, just plenty of plain paper for rough work. The questions were certainly challenging. Leeds University is involved in setting the questions each year and our challenge papers have been sent off to be marked there alongside those from schools up and down the country. We look forward to seeing how our pupils have done!
