Sixth Form Mentoring Scheme

Our Deputy Head Girl Tami, pictured below, has initiated a new mentoring scheme, launched last week. Tami and four of her Sixth Form colleagues – Kami, Molly, Emily and Khloe – are set to support younger pupils who need a listening ear and guidance on anything from friendship issues to dealing with social pressures on how you look and dress and coping with study – in fact, any issue that affects girls.

Tami said, “We started last week with some team-building and getting-to-know-you activities. Each year group from 7-11 will be allocated their own mentor, but pupils can drop in any lunchtime to talk to a mentor in confidence as well.”

The mentors have received guidance themselves on child protection and other issues, to prepare them fully for the mentoring role.  Look out for their posters around the school!
