Anglo-Saxon explorations for Years 3 & 4

Years 3 and 4 have started a big project on the Anglo-Saxons who lived in Britain over a thousand years ago. They have been investigating who these people were, why they settled here, how they lived and what they wore. They have also done some detective work looking at objects found at the famous Sutton Hoo site in Suffolk.

Now the children have made their own models of Anglo-Saxon houses which will eventually become a model village! After half term they will be going on a visit to the Anglo-Saxon village at West Stow.
