Year 1 amaryllis bulbs have grown..and now it’s time for some mushrooms!

Before half term each Year 1 pupil planted an amaryllis bulb in one of three different colours. Just look at them now – what a beautiful, colourful display they make for the classroom!

Not quite as colourful, but tasty, will be the mushrooms that are planned.  The children have planted mushroom spores in ‘spawning casement’ – they will be kept in the damp and dark for two weeks and then we will see how they grow!
