Field trip for ‘Broad-minded’ Year 9

Year 9 enjoyed an interesting and informative day at the Broads National Park on Wednesday for their geography studies. Beginning with a guided boat trip, they learnt about the uses of the Broads, past and present, and the human impact on the environment. Next the girls had a walk round a nature reserve with the conservationist, who explained the work being done to improve the water quality. The afternoon saw the girls in Hoveton looking at the impact of tourism, interviewing members of the public and gathering statistics on pedestrian and traffic counts, land use and environmental quality. Here are the girls with a new friend!
