More snow fun!

There may not have been huge drifts, but there was enough of the white stuff falling at lunchtime today for some seriously snowy fun!

U9 and U11 hockey shout-out!

Parents of Years 3-6 children: please note that tomorrow’s game against Norwich High School for Girls is currently still on – but watch this space in case the weather deteriorates!

Please ensure that your child brings track suit bottoms, jumper, woolly hat and gloves – no scarves please.

Thank you!

Mrs Woods, Head of PE

Let it snow!

It’s snowing here today and Year 1 went outside at lunchtime to have a good look and feel! Our lovely gap year tutors from Australia and South Africa were quite impressed, too.

Our ‘stars’ of the week

Our ‘Stars’ of the week, receiving special mention from Mr Peace and their teachers in our Prep Department Praise Assembly this morning, are:

Edward M (Year 3) for working hard on similes and personification and for being helpful towards a visiting pupil.

Albert C (Year 4)  for being kind to our visiting pupil this week and for achieving full marks in his times table each week.

Amy B-G (Year 5) for excellent written multiplication skills; Amy has enhanced the whole class by working so hard.

Emma F-B (Year 6)  for good work on fractions. Emma has also demonstrated a very kind-hearted nature.

Well done to all of our ‘stars’! The photo is from a recent assembly in The Barn.

Match report: U14/U16 badminton v Hethersett Academy

The U14 and U16 badminton teams played their first games of the season yesterday against Hethersett Academy. Although both teams lost by 3 games to 6, special thanks go to Anna L and Rebekah Y for stepping in at the last minute owing to illness.

  • Badminton club is held on Friday lunchtimes from 1pm, for all pupils in Years 3 upwards. It provides a wonderful opportunity to practise our skills and learn how to work together as a doubles pairing.

Music and Drama Winter Concert tomorrow

A reminder that our Prep and Senior School pupils will be demonstrating their dramatic and musical talents at our annual Winter Concert tomorrow evening, Thursday 30th, at 6.30pm in The Barn. We hope many of our families will come and join us for what will be a varied programme with contributions from our drama and music departments,  based loosely on the theme of winter.

The concert will finish at approximately 8.00pm and, as you leave, you may like to contribute to a collection for  Mini Donkeys for Wellbeing, our adopted charity for the coming year.  You can see a video about their work and the impact these gentle little creatures make on their website here.

At the end of the evening please join us for mince pies and refreshments.

We look forward to seeing you there!
