This week we heard from Matilda. She has been in Dorset helping a bird warden ring birds. Over 900000 birds are ringed in Britain and Ireland each year. The British Trust for Ornithology runs the scheme and it is used to provide information about how long birds live and where they go.

In this photograph, Matilda is about to release a sand martin. If you’d like any more information about sand martins, please click here.
