Wanted – holiday homes for Winnie and Bubbles!

A plea from our boarders: would any of our families like to step forward to offer a holiday home for their two guinea pigs over the half term break at the end of May or in the summer holidays? Winnie and Bubbles, our ‘piggies’,  are easy to look after, fun and quite cuddlesome! If you can help, please email boarding@hohs.co.uk as soon as possible.

Camel rides for boarders

On Saturday our boarders had a lovely time at the Oasis Camel Centre in Suffolk – the UK’s only camel park. The weather was amazing, hot and sunny all day. As well as meeting and learning about the camels, we fed the llamas, donkeys, meerkats and goats. There were also some gorgeous rabbits with beautiful soft coats that the girls really wanted to bring back to the boarding house with them. The highlight of the trip was the camel ride, which the girls declared “magnificent” and “excellent”!

Easter bonnets!

Our Lower and Upper Prep pupils paraded with their Easter bonnets this afternoon – great fun! Thanks to all the parents who helped the children with these beautiful, imaginative creations at home – it was a visual feast and they were all winners! Happy holidays, everyone.

Seriously snowy!

Thank you to pupils and parents who have sent us some more wonderful pictures of snow antics! What a creative bunch we are!

From Amy T’s farm in Hickling, her mum writes: We are trying to make the best of the snow and cold! Amy’s Dad has spent the morning either rescuing cars from ditches with his tractor or trying to defrost the cattle’s water with a hair dryer!

Amy T (Year 2) has made a very friendly snowman!

The boarders have been busy on their igloo…here it is earlier today…

…it’s getting taller…

…and it even has a window!

Harry T ( Reception) has been sledging

Samaara (Reception) has also made a snowman that’s bigger than she is…

Sophie (Year 6), Charlie and the baby snowman

Mrs Woods, Head of PE, with her own family

Sophia (Year 2) has had fun practising on her skis!

Sophia S (Year 2) on the slopes

Charlie (Year 1) has made a very jolly-looking snowman bigger than he and little brother Ben (Nursery)!
