King’s Camps first week success!

The first week of activity camps at HOHS provided by kingscamps.org is just drawing to a close in the sports hall this afternoon, and has been a great success!  Manager Ryan and his team of coaches Emily, Dom, Dan and Megan have kept nearly 40 children from HOHS and other schools locally active all week with a range of exciting games, sports and active play. Safeguarding means we couldn’t take pictures while the  sessions were in progress, but Agata, Vera, Alfie and Matthias were very happy to be pictured with their coaches. Alfie’s mum told us, “It has been absolutely amazing, Alfie has really enjoyed every minute and we will definitely be signing up for the summer sessions!” Agata said, “It is really fun, we love it!”

The next sessions will be in the summer holidays,  in the weeks beginning July 30th and August 6th.  To book, go to the Hethersett Old Hall page of the Kings Camps website here.

Your garden can be any shape as long as its overall size is no larger than 30 x 30cm and judging will take place at our seaside-themed Summer Fete on Saturday 12th May. All the entries will be displayed there and prizes will be awarded.  Go on, you know you want to!

Click the link to read the story and see some pictures – and watch this space for a gallery of our own pictures from the event.  Many thanks to Norwich City legend Wesley Hoolahan for not only cutting the red tape but also joining in with the excitement of the activity sessions run by Joe from Kings Camps – all the children really enjoyed the fun!

Book your HOHS King’s Camps Weeks – and take a friend for free at Easter!

Parents – exciting news! You can now book your child/children in for the Easter and/or summer Kings Camps activity weeks at HOHS. We are especially pleased to tell you that, for the Easter week only (April 9th-13th), we have a ‘Bring a Friend for Free’ offer. So if you have two children, the second will be able to attend at no cost – and if you are bringing a friend rather than a sibling, you can share the cost between you. Please note that although there is a booking form online at the Kings Camps website, to take advantage of this special offer you will need to book by phone. Here’s how:

For siblings: Call 0114 263 2160 and you can make one booking over the phone.
To bring a friend: Call 0114 263 2160 and book your own child in. Tell the Kings Camps staff member the name of the additional child you will be bringing. Then ask their parent to call the same number to confirm the free booking, and arrange the cost share between yourselves!

After Easter, we will give you a discount code – for our HOHS parents only – for 10% off your summer and subsequent bookings.

On the blog tomorrow: news of our summer camps’ Grand Opening – with special guest appearance from Norwich City legend Wesley Hoolahan!
