Albert and Oliver in Rugby Finals!

We would like to congratulate to Albert and Oliver in Year 5 for their success with their rugby team last weekend. The team they play for, the U10 team at Crusaders Rugby Club, Little Melton, played at Diss on Sunday in a regional Prima Cup competition. They won all their games which were scored on both sportsmanship and the core values of rugby. As a result, the team got through to the finals at Welford Road, the Leicester Tigers’ ground.

The finals are on March 2
nd and both the boys and the team are excited to be playing on the same pitch as their rugby heroes, in front of 1000s of people, and representing the region in the competition.

Well done, Albert and Oliver! We look forward to hearing how you and your team do in the finals.

U13 Hockey Match Report

On Wednesday afternoon, the U13 hockey team travelled to Langley School for a match. The girls worked well together as a team and their confidence grew as the match progressed. There were some good defensive skills shown throughout the game. Unfortunately, we were defeated 4-1, however, Sophie demonstrated a high level of skill when scoring our goal. Player of the match awarded by the opposition went to Emily Gh. Well done to everyone who played.

Give Rugby a Try!

If any girls aged 13 or over are interested in giving rugby a try (pun intended!) please see the poster below for information. Mrs Mann is the ladies’ team coach and Olivia, one of our Gap Year Assistants, is a regular team member so, if you’re not sure if rugby is for you, you can always ask one of them about it first.

Tennis League Winners

We are delighted to report that both our Years 7 & 8 and our 15 and under teams have won their inter-school tennis leagues!

Last Monday we played two matches against Aylsham High School.

The Years 7 & 8 team of Rachel Y, Anna L, Cristina M-M and Ashlyn G won 4 – 2. The girls then clinched their league title last Tuesday in their final fixture versus Acle.

The 15 and under team also recorded a straight 6-0 victory at Aylsham – well done Hannah Y, Rebekah Y, Skyla-Grace M and Darcey W – and have won their league too!

A fabulous achievement: well done to all the girls and of course to coach Katie. We hope all you tennis fans are enjoying watching Wimbledon!
