Photo portrait voucher up for auction

The winning team at last week’s PA Quiz Night, were given a voucher for a family portrait sitting at in Norwich and a 8×6 photo in a presentation folder, as part of their prize.

The team has decided they would like to auction this off to the highest bidder, with the proceeds to be put towards ‘Nautilus the penguin fund’, the boarders initiative to adopt Nautilus the penguin at Colchester Zoo.

If you would like to bid for this prize, worth £85.00, please contact Mrs Swallow, Senior Housemistress in the Boarding House or email enquiries@hohs.co.uk with your bid.

Thank you.

Nautilus the Penguin update

The boarders held their cake sale last Tuesday which turned out to be a huge success. We raised £51 towards the adoption of the much adored Nautilus the Penguin. We would like to say a big thank you to Mrs. Swallow, Miss Mann, Mrs. Collin and Mr. Reeves who baked delicious cakes for us to sell.

Our next project to help us raise the £125 needed for the adoption is the selling of hand-made Christmas cards and gift tags at school events. We would like to thank the parents and staff that bought items from us at the Year 7 and 8 Progress Evening last night.

We now have just over half of the money we need to pick up a penguin!

Help the boarders to pick up a penguin!

Following their recent visit to Colchester Zoo, the boarders would like to adopt Nautilus the Penguin.

To help raise the £125 for this very worthy cause, the boarders will be making and selling Christmas crafts and cakes. A table displaying their wares can be found in the front hall and they hope to hold their first cake sale at break time on the first Tuesday after half term (6th November).

Please come along and support them!
