Newsflash: Flock of Fire Birds roost in Prep School

Following on from our recent Nursery owls, a flock of rather exotic Fire Birds seems to have taken up residence in the Year 3 and Year 4 classrooms.

Feel free to drop by and have a look but please don’t feed them as they’ll make an awful mess!   Year34-Artwork-Firebirds4 Year34-Artwork-Firebirds5 Year34-Artwork-Firebirds6

Paintings and poems by Year 3

After learning all about the life and work of the artist Vincent Van Gogh, Year 3 have produced their own beautiful paintings. Their pictures have been inspired by the Van Gogh paintings ‘Self-Portrait’, ‘Sunflowers’ and ‘Starry Night’. We are very pleased with the results and more of their work can be seen on display in the Prep School.

New art display funded by PA

Have you visited the new display area in the art department yet?

With a little help from the HOHS PA, a once dark and unappealing corridor has been transformed into a wonderful light space in which we can now showcase some of our very best work. Currently on display is a selection of our recent GSCE art and photography work, as well as some of our A level textiles coursework.

The Art Department would like to say a big thank you to the PA for their funding and support.
