Boarders go tubing

This weekend the boarders visited Norfolk Snowsports Club in Norwich for a tubing experience. The sun shone and the skies cleared in time for the girls to hurl themselves down the slopes in the giant inflatable rings. The shrieks of laughter grew even louder when the centre turned on the water jets, as the slope became even faster!

Happy HOHS Anniversary, Winnie and Bubbles!

It’s exactly a year since the boarders welcomed two 8-week-old baby guinea pigs, both females, and named the pair Winnie and Bubbles. Since then, the ‘piggies’ have become part of our boarding family and are much loved by all – they have grown quite a bit, too!

Boarders head to Funkys

Yesterday our boarders visited their favourite skating venue, Funkys.  The disco was in full swing and the girls raced each other and took part in the games and challenges the skating staff set them. After a jam-packed two hours everyone was simply too tired to move!

Wanted – half term holiday home for Winnie and Bubbles!

A plea from our boarders: would one of our families like to step forward to offer a half-term holiday home for their two guinea pigs over the half term break? They are easy to look after, fun and (as you can see!) quite cuddlesome! If you can help, please email boarding@hohs.co.uk as soon as possible.

Winnie and Bubbles are back!

Bubbles and Winnie are safely back at school. We are very grateful to Kitty Carr-Lake for looking after them all summer. They are very plump and shiny and now the boarding house family is complete again as we can hear the squeaking!

Cabbage for Breakfast!

Whilst we do offer a range of healthy and wholesome breakfast options every morning, cabbage is only on the early morning menu for the guinea pigs. Here is a picture of new boarder Camilla making friends with the guinea pigs and ensuring that they have plenty of food before she heads off to her lessons.

Boarding Outing

Last weekend, the boarders went to the Suffolk Punch Trust in Hollesly in Suffolk. The Trust is home to the Hollesley Bay Colony Stud which is the world’s oldest stud farm breeding the extremely rare Suffolk Horse. The girls enjoyed a wagon ride and meeting some of these rare and beautiful horses.
