Buttons’ football training

Buttons, one of our well-travelled Hethersett bears, was very excited to be spending this half term break with Oliver (Year 1).  Here they are last week at football training.  I wonder if either of them will be playing in the Norwich v Arsenal cup match this evening?!

Austen win Years 1 & 2 House Football

Years 1 and 2 produced some excellent skills and team work in the end of term football matches. Results are as follows:

B League: WINNERS – AUSTEN, Joint SECOND – RYDER/FRY

Austen – 7 (Sophie 5, Jessica 2) beat Ryder – 1 (Beatrix)

Ryder – 6 (Sahara-Star 4, Sophia 2) beat Fry – 2 (Mani 2)

Fry – 5 (Mani 4, Polly 1) beat Austen – 2 (Jessica 1, Sophia 1)

Player of the Tournament awards: Austen – Sophie, Fry – India, Ryder – Sahara-Star

After School Clubs update

Sports-iconOur new after-school co-ordinator, Yasmin Dodd, writes:

I have a new list of after school clubs which will be in full effect when the children return from half term.  I would like to encourage as many participants as possible!

Lower Prep

MONDAY – Adventure/Orienteering Club

TUESDAY – Football

WEDNESDAY – Playground Games

THURSDAY – Aerobic Dance Party

FRIDAY – Playground Games

 

Upper Prep

MONDAY – Football/Tag Rugby (alternating each week – first week will be football)

TUESDAY – Dodgeball

WEDNESDAY – Playground Games

THURSDAY – Aerobic Dance Party

FRIDAY – Netball/Basketball *in the sports hall (alternating each week – first week will be netball)

 Pupils will need to get changed into appropriate PE kit for these activities, including outdoor trainers – no school shoes are permitted. I look forward to seeing you all next week!
