Guinea Pigs Require a Holiday Home

Winnie and Bubbles, our boarding house guinea pigs, need a host family for their Easter holidays. If you would like to look after them over Easter, please email Miss Kirkham, our Senior Housemistress, on boarding@hohs.co.uk.

Thank you.

Wanted – holiday homes for Winnie and Bubbles!

A plea from our boarders: would any of our families like to step forward to offer a holiday home for their two guinea pigs over the half term break at the end of May or in the summer holidays? Winnie and Bubbles, our ‘piggies’,  are easy to look after, fun and quite cuddlesome! If you can help, please email boarding@hohs.co.uk as soon as possible.

Happy HOHS Anniversary, Winnie and Bubbles!

It’s exactly a year since the boarders welcomed two 8-week-old baby guinea pigs, both females, and named the pair Winnie and Bubbles. Since then, the ‘piggies’ have become part of our boarding family and are much loved by all – they have grown quite a bit, too!

Wanted – half term holiday home for Winnie and Bubbles!

A plea from our boarders: would one of our families like to step forward to offer a half-term holiday home for their two guinea pigs over the half term break? They are easy to look after, fun and (as you can see!) quite cuddlesome! If you can help, please email boarding@hohs.co.uk as soon as possible.

Winnie and Bubbles are back!

Bubbles and Winnie are safely back at school. We are very grateful to Kitty Carr-Lake for looking after them all summer. They are very plump and shiny and now the boarding house family is complete again as we can hear the squeaking!

Boarders settling in

Last night our roving camera popped in to see how our boarders were getting on with their unpacking and settling in. We are pleased to report that it was smiles all round…

Boarders’ home from home

While everyone’s away for the holidays (except for a few of us on the admin team!), the school feels quite empty…so I wanted to remind myself how warm and friendly it is in the boarding house when the girls are here. In these pictures, taken in the last week of term,  they are joined by their furry guinea pig friends who love a cuddle! The guinea pigs are being cared for by one of our local families over the holidays.
