Hethersett Old Hall School would like to wish you a very Happy Easter!
Just a reminder for our Lower and Upper Prep families – we have some fun Easter activities planned for the last day of term this Friday, 23rd March we hope all the children will join in with! Please can you help your child to decorate a hard-boiled egg at home and bring it into school on Friday – in a named container, please. There will be individual prizes for the eggs that roll furthest in our egg-rolling competition and we will roll for an overall school winner! Children are also invited to design and make an Easter bonnet to bring into school on Friday for our Easter bonnet parade. There are prizes for the best in each class. Here are just a few of the fun creations from last year!

Children may decorate a hard-boiled egg at home and bring it into school on Friday – in a named container, please. There will be individual prizes for the eggs that roll furthest in our egg-rolling competition and we will roll for an overall school winner!

In ICT,Year 2 have been learning how to use MS Paint tools to create art inspired by Piet Mondrian. We think they look great!
Last week, Mrs Bird’s Year 1 group had a session in the main cookery room, where they made delicious birds’ nests and decorated them with mini eggs and a fluffy chick.
More Easter-themed activities coming soon!
As reported last week, our Reception pupils have been learning with Mrs Bird about the story, customs and traditions of Easter. Here are some more photographs of the children each holding something that is a symbol of, or related to, this important festival in the Christian calendar.
