Match report: U14/U16 badminton v Hethersett Academy

The U14 and U16 badminton teams played their first games of the season yesterday against Hethersett Academy. Although both teams lost by 3 games to 6, special thanks go to Anna L and Rebekah Y for stepping in at the last minute owing to illness.

  • Badminton club is held on Friday lunchtimes from 1pm, for all pupils in Years 3 upwards. It provides a wonderful opportunity to practise our skills and learn how to work together as a doubles pairing.

    Match report: U14 badminton v Norwich High School for Girls

    The U14 badminton team secured a 5-4 win over Norwich High School earlier this week – with the tie coming down to the final point of the final match. Despite absence and illness the team pulled together and should be proud of their efforts.

    TEAM: Isabelle, Sophie, Rebekah, Mia, Anna & Cristina

    Now we wait for confirmation to see if we have made this year’s finals!

    Match report: U14/U16 badminton v Hethersett Academy

    On Tuesday our U14/U16 badminton team took on Hethersett Academy at HOHS.  Despite a loss for the U16 team, the U14s came away victorious in a close and fiercely-contested contest, with Rebekah and Emily winning their final game 21-20 to secure a 5-4 win overall.  Well done, girls! Next week we welcome Attleborough High School.

    Match report: U15 rounders v Hethersett Academy

    The unbeaten season for the U15 rounders team continued on Tuesday afternoon with a 21 1/2 to 13 win over local rivals Hethersett Academy.

    Scorers: Isabel 4 1/2, Emily 1, Mia 2 1/2, Alice 3 1/2, Philippa 1, Ria 1 1/2, Hannah 3, Aisling 1/2.

    Player of the match was awarded to Alice for a good batting performance and outstanding work in the field.

    U12s Badminton team – Norfolk Schools Champions!

    Our U12 badminton team have once again won the Norfolk Schools Badminton competition in their age group – meaning HOHS has retained the champions’ shield for the fifth year in a row!Congratulations to Harriet, Mia, Emily and Imogen (Year 7) and Anna, Annie and Cristina (Year 6) for a splendid season.

    U14s Badminton team Norfolk Schools Champions!

    Having won all of their league matches, our U14 team made the short trip to Hethersett Academy today to play Norwich High School in the final of the Norfolk Schools Badminton competition and won by six games to three.

    Congratulations to Amy, Alice, Isabelle, Sophie, Hannah and Rebekah for a splendid season.

    Match report: U15 Badminton v Fakenham Academy

    On Thursday the U14 and U16 badminton teams played their final league matches against Fakenham Academy.

    The U16 team put in a much improved performance, despite narrowly losing 5-4.

    TEAM: Abbie, Catherine, Isabel, Emily, Mia and Ella

     The U14 team continued their positive run of form with a 6-3 win. Having won all our league games we just await confirmation that we have made the final!

    TEAM: Amy, Alice, Isabelle, Sophie, Hannah and Rebekah A special mention to Isabelle, who despite being very poorly, showed commitment and determination to come into school especially to play in the match.
