Diploma Distinctions!

This week, we received some external examination results and had an external moderator in school to assess the portfolios for some of our diploma subjects in the Sixth Form. We are delighted to announce that several distinction grades were attained by our students in both examinations and portfolios. The grade of distinction is equivalent to an A grade at A Level. Congratulations to our Health and Social Care and Business Studies students on an excellent set of results.

World Book Day

Today is World Book Day and the Prep School children did a wonderful job dressing up to represent their favourite literary characters. Wally in his red and white striped jumper, although difficult to find, put in an appearance as did Harry, Hermione and even Moaning Myrtle. To see which characters you can spot in our gallery of photos, please click the following link.

Saturday at the Ski Slope

On Friday night, the boarding house held a sleepover and were joined by some pupils from Year 9. On Saturday morning, we all went to the Norfolk Snowsports Club for a tubing session. For those of you who have never seen tubing before, you sit in what looks like a large inner tube and go down a ski slope! Everyone had a great time sliding and spinning down the slope individually and then together. The picture below shows some the students that took part.

Staying Safe Online

Internet safety is covered at school but there have been some recent concerns in the media about children seeing distressing images or content whilst online. The following link takes you to a 2 minute video clip which reminds children about online safety and what they should do if they see any upsetting material. We hope it will help you to support them at home should they see anything inappropriate.

UK Mathematics Challenge – The Results

We reported a few weeks ago that some of our Year 10s and 11s took part in the UK Mathematics Challenge and the results are in. In this national competition, we are pleased to report that some of our pupils attained silver and bronze awards.

Congratulations to Selena and Jamie on their silver awards and to Cait, Rebekah and Faith-Marie for attaining bronze awards. Well done!
