Chloe  (Year 2) entered two LAMDA exams over the summer, one a solo Entry Level Award in Communication, for which she got a distinction scoring 99/100; and the second  a group effort for which her group scored 98/100. She received the results a couple of weeks ago and was super pleased!

Our very own Drama Queen!

lamda-logo1Congratulations to Sonia Ekweremadu (Year 12) who took two LAMDA drama examinations last term. For her Public Speaking Grade 7 she had to deliver a speech examining an ethical or moral issue – Sonia spoke about arranged marriages – and she also spoke on a subject of her own choice – the success of the musical Les Misérables.

She then delivered an impromptu speech having been given some topic options just before the exam. Sonia gained 80 marks – distinction.  As if that wasn’t enough, she also took Solo Acting Grade 5 on the same day and gained 81 marks – another distinction. Well done Sonia!

I am absolutely delighted with Sonia and she really deserves these high marks. She is now working towards two more exams this term and India Simmons and Lacey Mayes are working towards Solo Acting Grade 1.
