Mystery letters for Years 1 & 2 found in fireplace!

Mr Crump was surprised to find two large envelopes in his study fireplace one morning last week, slightly obscured by ashes but clearly addressed to Years 1 and 2. The children came over to collect them and what do you suppose was inside? Individual replies to letters they had written to Father Christmas a few days ago and posted up the chimney! We hope all their wishes come true at Christmas.

A visitor in The Barn

Here are a few more photos from our end of term Prep Christmas parties and a visit from a certain very popular old gentleman.  We hope everyone is enjoying the holidays and getting ready for the big day on Monday – if you’re good he might visit again!

Prep School Christmas parties

Huge fun was had at the Lower and Upper Prep Christmas parties yesterday…from musical statues and musical chairs to turning your friend into a snowman…and not forgetting a visit from you-know-who!

More festive photos from the parties and our other Christmas activities will be on the blog over the holidays.

First Ballet Club of Term…

Here are our little ballerinas this afternoon enjoying the first Ballet Club session of term!
Ballet Club is free for our Lower Prep girls and boys and runs every Monday afternoon from 3.oopm-3.45pm in the Lower Prep Hall.

Pupils learn basic steps and technique and have fun acting through dance. They also learn all about professional ballet dancers and enjoy lots of dance stories too!

Please wear clothing appropriate for dance – a leotard, tights and a cardigan or leggings/shorts and a t-shirt. Ballet shoes are recommended but not essential.

Joyeuses Pâques from Year 2

Year 2 had a very creative French lesson with Mrs Evers-Jones in the last week of term, colouring and cutting out pretty little Easter baskets and learning the names of many colours and Easter-related words.

Olly’s Road Safety Magic Show

On Friday afternoon, the Prep department were completely enthralled by Olly Day and his road safety magic show, a fun and interactive show with important safety messages.

With plenty of humour and magic – and lots of audience participation – Olly reminded them of safe places to cross the road, safe people to cross with, being safe on their bikes and more. Above all the children learned the important message, “If you are seen, you are safe”.
