Buttons and Betty at Carrow Road

On the Ball City! Lottie (Reception),  her brother Noah (Year 1) and Reno (Year 1) were at the match on Saturday afternoon to see a valuable point added to the Norwich tally – and Mrs Bird was also there as their guest in the Players’ Lounge. As you can see, Buttons and Betty, the HOHS bears, definitely didn’t want to miss out….and are hoping to get mini Canaries outfits for Christmas (blue and white won’t do at Carrow Road!)

Please support Sienna in her volunteer work

Sienna (Year 10) will be going to volunteer with the charity Oasis during the summer. She will be working in the East of Uganda, in a slum community where many of the residents are refugees and live in extreme poverty, with an irregular supply of electricity and no running water.

Sienna and others from her church will be helping Oasis in the preschool they have recently opened. They will be running a school catch-up programme (which helps those who have missed school due to being unable to afford school fees or difficult family situations) and sports programmes for the local children, as well as offering First Aid training for the local women. Oasis works in many other countries, in slum communities and fighting human trafficking (which is modern-day slavery).

To raise money for Oasis and help fund this trip to Uganda, there will be canapés reception at Norwich City Football Club on Thursday May 8th.

Tickets are £20 and can be bought by contacting Sienna at sexton.aj@gmail.com. If you want any more information please get in touch with Sienna using the email above. Donations are also welcome.

The Football Club visit Carrow Road

Last Friday eighteen members of our Prep School football team visited Carrow Road. The pupils enjoyed their tour of the stadium and were intrigued to see all that goes on behind the scenes at the club.

Having paid a visit to the dug out, the Home and Away team locker rooms and the trophy cabinet, everyone took part in a football themed literacy and numeracy workshop.

See all the photos from the day.
