Blood Brothers rollercoaster for drama and music girls

A group of our Year 10 and 11 GCSE drama and music pupils ventured out to the Theatre Royal on Thursday afternoon to see the acclaimed touring
production of Willy Russell’s emotional rollercoaster tale of two separated siblings. The well-loved musical has been running in The West End, on Broadway and on tour for over 30 years. Ria said “It was quite funny in the first half, but ended up really sad.”

The Ministry of Science

Yesterday, Years 7 and 8 attended The Ministry of Science Show at the Theatre Royal in Norwich.

This was not an ordinary science show – it came with a bang, a whoosh and a hovercraft built on stage…. oh, and a human cannon too. Fortunately everyone returned in one piece!

Years 3-6 go barmy

On Friday 28th February Years 3-6 went to Norwich Theatre Royal to see a production of Barmy Britain of Horrible Histories fame.

The two-hour performance gave us a vivid insight into some key historical events. The versatile four person cast made many rapid costume changes to teach us about Boudicca, Dick Turpin, Richard the Lionheart, Guy Fawkes and Queens Elizabeth and Victoria as well the first World War among other things.

In the second half we all wore 3D glasses to enjoy the special effects and one of the most popular moments was when Queen Victoria did a rap and a ‘Teddy Bear’ roll.

It was a brilliant history lesson!
