Please share our Winter Wonderland Fair poster!

From Joy Elsley, Chair of our Parents’ Association:

Parents and friends – if you haven’t already made a note in your diaries, please do now – and tell your friends and families. If you can, please share our poster, below!

Saturday November 18th is our big Winter Wonderland Fair. There will be stalls galore (over 45 of them!) selling everything from crafts to Christmas decorations, artisan foods and handmade clothes.  You can also enjoy food and refreshments from our wonderful chef and games and activities for the children.

Interested in having a stall, or know anyone who would like one?  There are just a very few spaces left now, so please email me at PA@hohs.co.uk as soon as possible! It costs just £25 for a 6ft table (supplied) plus a donated item for our raffle.

Speaking of the raffle – parents, could you consider donating a prize? The raffle is always one of our biggest fundraisers and the proceeds all go towards buying items to benefit all our children. You can bring prizes into the school office anytime from now. Thank you so much!

THANK YOU to the Parents’ Association – and would you like to join us?

THANK YOU on speech bubble price labels During the headmaster’s address on Speech Day, Mr Crump thanked all the members of our wonderful Parents’ Association for the fantastic job they do – especially with our very popular summer fete and Christmas markets. These events raise valuable funds for a variety of ‘extras’ for pupils of all ages to enjoy and to enhance their experience at school. This school year, for example, the PA has funded new wooden play equipment in the Nursery as well as several laptops for use in the Prep school and a new portable pa system.

Chair of the PA Joy Elsley spoke to the assembled families and friends about the work of the PA, inviting new members to step forward and join. “We are looking for new members to join us once a month for an hour to provide ideas and support for our future events,” she said. “The atmosphere is relaxed and amusing at times… we would love to see you there and you will be made very welcome.”
If you would like to find out more, please email Joy at PA@hohs.co.uk

Summer Fete: see you all tomorrow!

Our beautiful gardens have been a hive of activity this morning as tents go up, barbecues are positioned and other essential preparations take place for tomorrow’s HOHS Summer Fete. Meanwhile, Miss Hopwood has been working hard at lunchtimes all week with the children who will be performing Maypole dances, making sure they perfect their skipping and ribbon-weaving moves!

With entertainers, fairground rides, tea-and-cake tent, inflatables, games, barbecue, treasure hunt and stalls galore, this is a fun event for all the family. And don’t miss out on our grand raffle  – there are some amazing prizes including two brand new bikes, signed items from Norwich City FC and many more. Tickets will be on sale on the day.

Entry to the fete is free – look forward to seeing you there!
