Children’s Art and Photography Competition

art-and-photography-competition-form_7bbc704ce127bf919c89f344dd9c14d5Is there a budding artist or photographer in your home?

Why not enter the Environment 2020 Awards Children’s Art and Photography Competition and be in with a chance of winning £500 worth of Love2Shop vouchers!

Who can enter?
There are three age groups (0-6, 7-11 and 12-16 years old) so households can submit more than one entry increasing the chances of winning.

What do I need to do?
All you have to do is use your imagination to create a piece of hand-crafted art or to take a photograph that reflects the theme, ‘The Environment and the Home’. For example, a chimney with a bad cough. Or a home which uses energy from purely natural sources. The only limit is your imagination!

Environmental Image of the Year Award
The overall winner in each age group will be invited to an Awards Luncheon, where they will be presented with the Environmental Image of the Year Award by our guest of honour and £500 worth of Love2Shop vouchers.

Green screen greetings

A little of bit of digital wizardry was used to create this years Mother’s Day cards in Year 2.

Miss Doughty set up a ‘green screen’ in the classroom so that she could photograph all of her pupils with their message and then superimpose this image onto a special background.

Speaking holograms are already in the pipeline for Father’s Day…Mothers-Day-cards

Your snowmen pictures!

Darci (Year 5) and Mrs Mobbs were busy creating a whole army of snowmen at the weekend.Snowmen

This robust and rather impressive snowman was made by Georgia (Year 4).

Ella (Year 7) and Sam (Year 1) with their seated snowman and snowdog.snowman-and-snowdog

A lovely snowlady made by Romily (Year 1).

Talia (Year 5) having fun with her snowman.snowman2

Here’s the fantastic snowman that Chloe (Nursery) built today.snowman2

This snowman (sporting a rather fetching HOHS scarf) was made for Hannah Bacon (Year 11) by her sister Charlotte. Being a boarder, Hannah is currently stuck at school in the snow, so the snowman is waving ‘hi’ to her!Snowman
