Year 10 explore Cambridge

Last Wednesday our Year 10 group enjoyed an art-themed trip to Cambridge to visit the world-renowned Fitzwilliam Museum and the MAA (Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology).

Both museums were really interesting. We looked at lots of artefacts from around the world – India, Japan and Egypt – which were relevant to our art projects and did some tasks that will help our studies. The photography students went off round the city to take pictures for their portfolios.

It was a really interesting and enjoyable trip – including the excellent ice cream!

Children’s Art and Photography Competition

art-and-photography-competition-form_7bbc704ce127bf919c89f344dd9c14d5Is there a budding artist or photographer in your home?

Why not enter the Environment 2020 Awards Children’s Art and Photography Competition and be in with a chance of winning £500 worth of Love2Shop vouchers!

Who can enter?
There are three age groups (0-6, 7-11 and 12-16 years old) so households can submit more than one entry increasing the chances of winning.

What do I need to do?
All you have to do is use your imagination to create a piece of hand-crafted art or to take a photograph that reflects the theme, ‘The Environment and the Home’. For example, a chimney with a bad cough. Or a home which uses energy from purely natural sources. The only limit is your imagination!

Previous art competition entries
See our art gallery of previous art competition winners and get inspired.

Seasonal awards
Four times during the year (Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter), there will be quarterly winners for each age group, each receiving £50 of Love2Shop vouchers. Love2Shop vouchers can be spent in thousands of shops, restaurants and attractions across the UK.

Environmental Image of the Year Award
The overall winner in each age group will be invited to an Awards Luncheon, where they will be presented with the Environmental Image of the Year Award by our guest of honour and £500 worth of Love2Shop vouchers.

How to enter
Complete this entry form and send it with your image, to:

You can enter as many images as you like for the awards, but each must be accompanied by a separate entry form. Unfortunately images cannot be returned.
