HOHS getting ready for Pudsey

Today is Pudsey Bear’s special day and pupils and staff have been busy organising activities to support Children in Need. Look out for pictures later of our Prep pupils’ ramble round our beautiful grounds! Meanwhile, here are the beginnings of our Pennies for Pudsey activity – and Lacey (Reception) with her spotty-eared headband ready to do her bit!

HOHS rambles on for Pudsey

Today was Pudsey Bear’s special day and as well as having a non-uniform day for the whole school, pupils and staff were busy organising various other activities  to support Children in Need.

Year 6 filled a large picture of Pudsey with pennies; later they joined the whole Prep Department for a ramble through the woods and around our lovely autumnal grounds, inspired by BBC’s Country File Ramble event. After a very blustery and chilly morning, it was good to see the sun come out in time for this!

Meanwhile, Ellie, Romily and Skyla-Grace from our Years 4 and 5 had been making lovely Hama bead animals, necklaces and other items and raised £20.27 from selling them at break time.

There are more pictures from this afternoon’s ramble here.

HOHS breaks out in spots

By selling spots and try to locate the place that Pudsey bear might appear, we managed to raised a fantastic £143.25

Girls were so keen to ‘show us their spots’ we sold out in about 15 minutes!

A big thank you to pupils and staff who donated and especially to Libby Allen who helped sell spots on the day. Given the massive demand I couldn’t have done it without her!

Miss Mann

P.S. In case you were wondering, Pudsey was at Buckingham Place this year.
