Our fun activities last Friday for Children in Need – the ramble, onesie race, scavenger hunt and Pennies for Pudsey – made a final total of £336 for the charity. Well done – and thank you, everyone!
We promised some more pictures of last Friday’s sponsored ramble through our Autumnal woods and gardens. All the Prep children took part and enjoyed being together outside…we love that our school nurtures co-operatoin between different year groups, the older children always keen to encourage the younger ones.
We had a great time today with our Children in Need activities including collecting pennies for Pudsey, taking a leisurely ramble through our beautiful grounds in the bright Autumn sunshine, a “Runsie” (fun run wearing a onesie) and scavenger hunts! Looks like we have raised over £300 in total: we’ll be able to confirm this on Monday, and let you know which house won the donations competition, too. More pictures of today’s ramble will be on the blog next week… WELL DONE, everyone!
With Children in Need this Friday, activities are underway at HOHS! Mia and Maisy (Year 12) have been running scavenger hunts since yesterday, with pupils encouraged to find the 15 spotty images they have placed around the grounds and gardens. Here are some of the Prep children having fun locating them all!
Last Friday’s activities for Children in Need at HOHS have now raised £367.40 (up nearly £100 since the first count noted in the picture below!) – and with sales of the second edition of Spotacular still to count, the grand total will be even higher! Well done everyone and thank you for your generosity. The Pennies for Pudsey activity yielded 1, 504 pennies, 960 two pence pieces and nearly 400 five pence pieces…there were also a few Canadian and American cents that slipped in and fourteen Euros!
We promised more photos of yesterday’s ramble in aid of Children in Need…and here they are! We were so lucky with the weather which was bright and sunny all afternoon
We had a great time today with our Children in Need activities including doing quizzes and activities from our own Spotacular magazine (thank you, Miss Mann!), decorating ourselves with spots, collecting pennies for Pudsey and taking a leisurely ramble through our beautiful grounds in the bright Autumn sunshine. Thanks to Mr Reeves for providing refreshments at the end of the walk! As you can see we have already made an interim total of over £260 and we still have lots of money to count up, so watch the blog and newsletter next week for the final spotacular total…
More pictures of today’s ramble will be on the blog tomorrow.
