Fly me to the Moon…with Year 2!

What happens to fruit flies in space? What do astronauts eat? And how would you manage if you had to write when you’re in a space ship?  These and many other fascinating questions were answered by Year 2 in their excellent class assembly on Tuesday.  They also shared some creative writing pieces about why they would make good astronauts, and showed us the inspired artwork they had created for the space topic.  Their assembly finished with a lively rendition of “Fly me to the Moon”, complete with some great dance moves,  which was greatly enjoyed by all.   Thanks to all the families who came to see the children showcase their work – and well done, Year 2,  for a superb performance!
