Medal haul for Caitlin

Earlier this month Caitlin (Year 5) scooped an impressive SEVEN medals at a swimming competition at UEA Sportspark. Caitlin, who trains six times weekly for UEA City of Norwich Swimming Club, competed against swimmers up to three years older from a total of seven swimming clubs. Her haul included two gold medals (50m and 200m backstroke), two silvers (100m breaststroke and 100m backstroke) and three bronze! Very well done, Caitlin!

Caitlin is swimming star!

Caitlin (Year 4) is a very good swimmer and has won many medals in competition for the City of Norwich Swimming Club,  which she attends several times a week for training after school and at weekends.  Caitlin says that the medal she is proudest of so far is the gold medal  50 metre butterfly because it is the hardest stroke – and she was competing against children up to nine years old, two years older than her! Her other gold medals are for freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke events. Well done, Caitlin!

Our Pool is Open!

We are very pleased to announce that our pool has now been repaired and is open for business as usual.  All clubs and lessons are back to normal, so don’t forget your swimming kits!

Mrs McEvoy also asks if anyone has any spare or outgrown trunks or costumes – any size or colour – that she can keep in her ‘spares’ cupboard? If so,  please bring them into school Reception. Thank you!

Everybody loves yoga!

….And breathe! Mrs McEvoy has been amazed at the focus and enjoyment the Nursery and Year 6 pupils have shown in their yoga classes this week. The classes have taken the place of swimming while our pool is being repaired and are proving very popular.

Mrs McEvoy has sent us these pictures which show the Nursery pupils learning how to sit and breathe, find their space and become palm trees; while the Year 6 pupils have been learning some wonderful moves and stretches with the theme of evolution….
