Sports Results: U13 rounders v Taverham High

As we reach the Summer Term we begin our rounders campaign. Sadly after driving rain last Thursday – so much so it was dripping off our faces! – we had to end our U13 fixture vs Taverham High School prematurely. Enough of the game was played, although unfortunately the end result was a loss to HOHS.

Player of the Match: Sophie Barrow, who scored two magnificent rounders.

Well done to all that played.

Match Report: U14 & U16 badminton v Taverham High School

A disappointing evening for the U14 and U16 badminton teams saw us travel to Taverham High School for our league matches, only to arrive and be informed that the fixture had in fact been cancelled without notification.

Due to our busy fixture programme we will be unable to reschedule this fixture. As a result Taverham will concede the fixture with a 9-0 walkover.

Match report: U14 hockey v Taverham High School

The Under 14s played a match against Taverham High School on Tuesday 9th December. Even though the team consisted of five Year 9s, two Year 8s and four Year 7s, we all tried our best.

During the first half, we didn’t play to our full ability and let in three goals. The weather certainly played a part in our match, making it hard to play to our best standards.

However during the second half, we did improve our passing and quick attacks. By doing this, we managed to score a goal made by Izzy, Year 9. Unfortunately we did let them slip in two more goals by their quick tackles and attack skills, making an overall total score of 5-1 to Taverham. They played very well. We also played to the best of our ability being guided by our coach, Miss Mickleburgh, and our team captain Ella, Year 9.

Hethersett could have given up as our team was reduced to ten people but we carried on playing well and defending the goal.

Congratulations to all our team players for withstanding the cold and playing excellently.

Player of the Match: Ella, Year 9. A very well done to our goalkeeper Grace, Year 9, for saving some very difficult shots.

Report by Mia and Ella, Year 9.
