Match report: U9 & U11 hockey v Old School Henstead

Our younger age groups were in action yesterday at a very sunny but bitterly cold Old School Henstead. Sadly both teams lost but we have developed our skill level and realised the importance of passing the ball wide into space.

Player of the match for the U9 team: Oliver

Player of the match for the U11 team: Maxim

Great effort everyone!

Match report: U9 and U11 hockey v The Old School Henstead

On Friday we welcomed The Old School Henstead for a full afternoon of hockey. All matches were played in excellent spirits and it was a great chance for all involved to showcase their skills to a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters.

Thank you to Mrs Sinclair, Miss Hopwood and gap student Jess for their help with the teams and umpiring (and the warm-up – see Miss Hopwood in goal in the photo below!). Player of the match awards were as follows:

U11A: Ruby for some resilient tackling.

U11B: Poppy for her tireless efforts and Saffron for a much improved performance in defence.

U9A: Matilda for her excellent tackling

U9B: Albert for his tireless efforts as centre

Sports Results: U9 /U11 rounders v The Old School Henstead

This afternoon we travelled to The Old School Henstead and played some of our best rounders to date.
The U11s were involved in a nail-biting match and were unlucky to finish 21 1/2 to 19 in favour of Henstead. Player of the match was awarded to Cristina.

The U9 teams put in a good all-round performance and won 7 1/2 to 4 1/2. Player of the match was awarded to Maxim.
