Sentences are fun!

They certainly are when you are in Year 3 or Year 4!  In this photo, Lucia is directing her classmates in this photo to punctuate a sentence correctly!

Years 3 and 4 explore mountains!

Years 3 and 4 have been studying mountains in their geography lessons this term. They each investigated a mountain and then made a 3D model, with facts, words and pictures. You can see them on display until the end of term in the Prep corridor outside Mrs Fisher’s classroom – do come and have a look!

Years 3 and 4 at the Synagogue

Years 3 and 4 have been learning about Judaism and yesterday they went to Norwich Synagogue to find out more about it. They spent an informative morning learning about the features inside the synagogue, trying on traditional dress and learning some Hebrew. This was followed by a ‘Shabbat at home’ workshop, which involved being part of a Shabbat feast complete with candles, songs, ‘wine’ and Challah – Jewish bread.  They also learnt about kosher foods. The children enjoyed joining in with the all the activities and they asked very sensible questions.

Snow one day and spring the next!

Pupils from Year 3 got busy during our open morning on Saturday creating cards and designing jars for their flower arrangements. And who were they for? Mummy, of course, just in time for Mothering Sunday!

Paintings and poems can be seen in the Year 3 classroom, which is looking very colourful and rather like springtime despite the flurry of snow we had this morning – we hope you like them!
